Brayers Are Us Li'l Miss Margarita

32 5/8"    Brown with Cross and Garters
09 May 2002                #34163

Li'l Miss Margarita almost slipped through our fingers
at the first Great American Miniature Donkey Sale.
We had won her best friend, Lola, and
- thankfully - were able to bring her to Iowa also.
What a calm, willing sweetheart!
She waits her turn for attention, is easy to halter, lead,
load, clip -- everything!  Her brown coat is the silkiest
velvet of all our donks, and her fancy garters really
stand out in the summer pasture.
She has given us two jennet foals and a 2008 jack foal
who wears those fancy garters all around.
A nicely blended pedigree tops off the whole package
we have found in Miss Margarita.

Brayers Are Us Lola

32"      Dark Brown
30 May 2002      #34160

Lola bought me.  She and Miss Margarita were
together in their pen, waiting for the next day's
auction at The Elms Great American Miniature
Donkey Sale.  I leaned in and she pushed her
nose into the crook of my neck.  That was it!
We have spent many hours together with her nose
buried in my neck.  Stephanie Dove told me her
nickname as a foal was "love-bug."  I decided
to try one time to blend Donner's (my special pet)
and Lola's personalities, before gelding Donner.
Their jennet foal, Jannie, has exceeded
all expectations.  With Dinero, Lola has given us
two very dark jack foals.  Lola is small, compact,
correct, and has strong breeding behind her.
She is a perfect example of why
miniature donkeys are so wonderful.

Boone's Little Cassie
34 1/2"   Rose/Gray-dun
28 April 2002             #38563

Cassie came to us from the
dispersal of Mr. Boone's
long-standing herd, and we are
proud, lucky, and grateful
to have her.
She has given us 3 top-quality
foals -- all with wonderful round
butts, straight
everything, good
bone, and her red ears!  Cassie's
strength and refinement really
show when she trots out
across the pasture.
Here is a jennet we plan to love
and enjoy for a long, long time.
Sassy Asses Li'l Jannie

33"   Very Dark Brown
15 July 2005      #48173

Jannie is the result of a one-time-only pairing.
Her sire and dam are loving, intelligent, sassy asses,
and I was able to blend their special personalities.
We expected Donner's light gray-dun coloring to appear,
so imagine our surprise, when this super-dark little girl
trotted up the hill with her mother!  Jannie and her sire both
"shake hands;" Jannie and her dam both want lots of loving,
which they demand with nuzzles and closeness; and we have a
stunning jennet in her forever home.  Jannie has been bred to
our new herdsire, Hello Maxx, for a 2009 foal --
check back to see what develops!
