Donner came to me from Julie Hebb of Copperas
Creek Farm as a weanling.  He is my buddy,
my foal-sitter, Nero's best friend, and sire of
Jannie, an outstanding dark brown jennet.
We are learning some pre-driving skills together
and are looking forward to showing, being
in parades, and making kids of all ages smile.

Handsome Gelding
LN Hello Maxx
Here he is in the ring
at the Nissen's
North American Select Sale
August 18, 2007.

When there is movement in the pasture, he
trots out with great curiosity to see
if it is one of his girls, a human visitor, or
something he must "conquer."
If Maxx is not greeted by name and
recognized as the guy in charge,
he shares the most mournful,
prolonged bray we have ever heard!
With just a little attention, though,
he stands contentedly by your side
or drops his head for ear rubs.
During his first breeding season,
Maxx showed us that he treats his jennets -
and their foals - as a gentleman should.
One look at Maxx's
Spring 2009 foals,
and you see evidence of his attitude,
stocky build, and dark coloring.
Stop by to say, "Hello Maxx!"
