HISTORY

I always wanted a donkey.
When I experienced the courage, trust, affection,
and individual personalities of
Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys,
I discovered I couldn't stop with just one !

I rented the video Shrek in the spring of 2002, researched miniature donkeys
on the web the next day, booked a room for the very first
Great American Miniature Donkey Sale,
and by the end of the summer, I had visited the Howards at The Elms Farm,
purchased Brayers Are Us
Lola and Li'l Miss Margarita,
Arrow Creek
Dinero (handsome Master of the Pasture), Boone's Little Cassie,
and Copperas Creek Farm's
Donner and Megan!
I learned everything I could about these special equines over the next year
(for example, no "horse whisperer" is needed, because
they whisper to us)
and found the Nissen's North American Miniature Donkey Sale - had to go!
Home I came with LN
Sylvria and her steal-the-show baby jennet, LN Sylky Smooth.

And the magic continues . . . I love these fuzzballs in their foal coats --
I laugh at the "I'm so tuff" attitudes of the 6-month-olds
(as they rear up and fall over backwards) --
I look forward to the shedding/clipping/bathing/trimming of the yearlings and adults --
and I marvel at their gentle strength, loyalty, protectiveness, and forgiveness.

Should you choose to buy one of Ann's Sassy Asses, you can be confident that
all worming, vaccinations, hoof-trimming, handling, and grooming are up-to-date.
You will take home information, photos, a new lead, a halter, and a little feed.
I insist on loving homes, compatible pasture buddies -
another donkey, unless you are close by and we can assess compatability -
and a sharing of information through the years.
Each of my donkeys has a permanent place in my heart,
so my commitment to future owners is life-long.
